VolksWagen  FINALISES UP! FOR INDIAN Roads

The up! Will be revealed to Indians at the nest auto expo. VW expects it to revolutionise our small car market. AUTO BILD INDIA explores it close up!

If you want to buy a VW in India, the cheapest option currently is the polo. But come next year, buying a VW will be a lot more affordable. No, VW is not planning on slashing prices of it’s car’s but is planning to launch a brand new entry level hatch-the new UP!, which has already shown in the Frankfurt Motor Show. This is the 3 door version but when the up makes its Indian auto expo 2012 it will become a 5 door hatch back.  

The up is a compact car which is having a length of 3540 MM. just small as a wagonR. This has retained some design element as shown in the concept version shown before. The bug eye headlamp and large glass area are the just few item of them but the basic outlay has somewhat changed. The glass tail gate is big just like Honda Brio. Interior is having enough space. Wheel base 2420 MM. boot space 251 L. engine 1 L petrol, 60 BHP and 75 BHP. They are also planning a diesel version which will expect to come later. 3 variants are expected, the base take up the move up and high up. Price will be stating from 3 Lakh onwards.
