Tata motors unveiled its long
awaited concept, the PIXEL, at the Auto Expo 2012. It is
with ‘Zero Turn’ drive, innovative diamond-shaped door system & just 3
metres in length.The Pixel was first unveiled at the 81st Geneva
Motor show in March last year. Slightly bigger than the Nano, yet based on the
same platform this modern urban vehicle is controlled by a tablet. Although
still in Concept Stage, Tata shows its full plans to Launch this vehicle in the
near future.
1.2 litre three-cylinder turbocharged diesel
engine, positioned at the rear of the Tata Pixel, gives lively performance. Key
functions in Tata Pixel are controlled by the driver’s smart phone, running on
‘My Tata Connect’ -- the first integrated human-machine interface (HMI) concept
from Tata Motors.
Tata pixel concept car is looking so stunning and stylish.The second iteration of Tata Safari is going to hit the market by the end of June or early July 2012. Based on the Tata Aria platform, the Safari Storme also boasts of a hydroformed body-on-ladder chassis with the same length and wheelbase like the existing version. However, the turn radius will be shortened to 5.4 meters from the original 6 meters which will make the manoeuvring of the car easy in tight spaces and off-roading.
