The German luxury car manufacturer Audi has finally launched their new sports utility vehicle the Q3 mini SUV at the Auto Expo 2012 in New Delhi.

The German luxury car manufacturer Audi has finally launched  their new  sports utility vehicle  the Q3 mini SUV at the Auto Expo 2012 in New Delhi.   The launching was at the 5^th year of the entry in India.  It was launched by  Katrina Kaif on 5th January, 2012 (Media Day). Audi Q3 will compete with the likes of BMW X1 and will be available in both petrol and diesel.The vehicle is having a classic design.   It will also have option of 2-wheel drive system. The base variant of Audi Q3 is expected to be priced around twenty five lakh rupees. In terms of looks and styling it has typical Audi styling featuring huge front grille, LEDs in headlamps and tail lights. It looks much better and proportionate in comparison to BMW X1 and other SUVs in this segment. Audi India has not made any official announcement about the price and variants of Q3 but it is expected that it will be priced in the region of 25-28 lakh rupees and will be available in 4-5 variants.

Engine Options - Audi Q3

- 2.0 TFSi petrol engine
- 2.0 TDi diesel engine

Audi Q3 will be available in both petrol diesel. The petrol model will be powered by a 2.0 litre TFSi engine which is expected to generate maximum power of 170 bhp. The diesel model will be powered by a 2.0 litre TDi engine which is expected to generate maximum power of 177 bhp.

It is expected that Audi Q3 will be available in four variants: 2.0 TFSi 4x2, 2.0 TFSi 4x4, 2.0 TDi 4x2 and 2.0 TDi 4x4.

The  expected price of the  base model of Audi Q3 will be  around twenty five lakh rupees. In the year 2011 Audi India sold 5511 cars in India.  That is the increase in sales to 80% with respect to last year sales.  The sales  alone in December 2011 was 294 cars.  The company has opened show rooms in Delhi, Ludiana, Surat, Indoor, Further expansions is also planned in Delhi, Lucknow, Coimbatore and  Mumbai.   Audi Kochi is the  authorized dealer in Kochi  which is located in Vyttila –Aroor Bye pass.
